How to Handle pressure and manage stress
In this journey of self-rediscovery, it is important that you, first of all, burn off whatever it is that is pressuring you. Many times we get so immersed in work, family, and social demands that we hardly see the weight it is having on our personal wellbeing.
The first step is to take a chill pill and relax. Take care of yourself first! Take out some time to rest from all the pressure you feel. If you have to spend time alone, then do it; if you need some vacation from work then by all means get it; how about a spa visit, well hell yes! Start by quenching the fire that is burning you out.
Here are some practical steps on how to handle stress:
- Get a vacation from your usual daily routine
- Get more sleep – aim at a minimum of 8 hours uninterrupted sleep in a day
- Avoid caffeine, and/or alcohol, and reduce your intake of refined sugar.
- Work out in the morning (maybe a morning stroll or a jog, whatever works for you; this clears your head and energizes your body).
- Do something fun (this is entirely left to you, what do you consider fun? get a decent dose)
How to Transform your life
When many people hear about transforming their lives they begin to think of changing the world. Transforming your life is much easier than lifting 100-pound plates; you can start from where you are; by doing the many little things. You start laying the foundation for greater things.
So, transform your life by believing and trusting in yourself.
