So, when someone asks them, "what do you want for_____(Fill in the holiday)"... They usually would answer with..."I don't know"...
Since you don't know what you want or you're too scared to ask for it... you end up with nothing. With today's blog article, I will be sharing with you exactly how I always get what I want! Read to find out how my friend.
How to Get what you want for Christmas
This holiday/gift-giving time, is a time to spread, love and happiness. Some people show their love by giving gifts to the people they care about while others choose to not take part at all. Sometimes, the people you care about don't know what to get you!
If you're serious about your desires of wanting to get exactly what you want for Christmas, you will need to tell your friends, family, coworkers, boss, and etc. How to shop for you! After all... you are reading a blog about: How to Get Exactly what you want for Christmas this year.

Be realistic about what you want as a Christmas gift in order for you to get exactly what you want for Christmas this year.
Begin by being realistic about what you want
Think about your family and friend. I'm sure they want to make all your Christmas wishes come true, however, I'm sure you know those wishes often come at a cost... like money for example. They have bills to pay just like you do! so, please don't make any unrealistic requests. In other words, do your best not to ask them for things you already know they can't afford. You don't want to leave them broke and unable to pay for basic necessities like food, housing, electricity... If you truly love them, you won't want them to be struggling to get by after the holidays. Christmas will be here soon. Set yourself up so that you are able to get exactly what you want this year.
They will love & appreciate you for not making them choose between having the basic necessities or buying you a gift.
Now, Let's get started with that wish list of yours!
Let's begin by making a wish list
Use a Website of an App to keep your ongoing wishlist
Many of the big stores allow you to create accounts on their website where you have the ability to create a wishlist full of the things you want for Christmas.
You can go on the site to create your wish list then, share the links with your friends, family, co-workers, boss, and etc. There are many apps that will also allow you to create and share your wishlist with loved ones.
Don't be shy about sharing the exact link with them. They are asking because they want to give you a gift you will not want to return silly! Take advantage of the opportunity and tell them what you want.
Email your Christmas wish list
Draft up a fun email - type up what you want for Christmas in a fun holiday email and sent it to your friends, family, and co-workers, boss, and etc.
You can either send it to them individually ( I highly recommend this) or send it as a group email and Blind Copy(Bcc) everyone - This option can become annoying when people try to reply back to and they accidentally hit Reply to all. lol
A more personalized approach is the way to honestly. It's an added touch if you add a personalized note to each one.
Also, make sure your email has a theme of gratitude. No one really likes that person who thinks the world revolves around them. Show your friends, family, and everyone else that you're thankful to have them all in your life and not just asking them for presents.
Remember the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Write your holiday wish list on Paper
This one's a bit old fashion, however, it doesn't take away from its effectiveness. Write your Christmas list down on paper and hang it up in your house. Hang it somewhere your family, friends, coworkers, boss, and etc. will see and read it. Keep it light-hearted and fun. Don't be rude and/or bossy
You can also mail a personalized letter to your friends and family with your list on it. However, please make sure you mail it early enough for your friends and family to get it before Christmas... if that is your wish.
How to Ask for Gift
Give them Hints of what you want. Casually mentions it. Let them know what you really want by mentioning that item casually during a conversation. Bring it up over the many days/weeks leading to the holiday.
Example;
- I saw this really cute ring on amazon I really want to - I'm hoping it will keep these creepers from hitting on me. It's at this point that I just want to flash this gorgeous beauty (show them the picture) at them and say "I'm married" then smile lol
- I saw this new bike at the store and thought it would be really fun to ride.
My friend got a new bike and wants me to ride with him; I wish I had one to join him. - Did you know bikes were on sale at the sporting good store? Maybe this is a good time to get one.
Play around with the scripts above and make them your own. I believe you can do it! otherwise, you risk getting some crappy gift you really don't want.
Tell your family/friends you want only want one specific item.
Make sure that they know exactly what you want. Be sure to let them know that you'd be happy if that was the only thing you received this year. Don't worry, I'm sure you will still get other gifts, however, let them know this one item really means a lot to you. for example:
Leave a note saying what you want
Leave a cute note around the house that reads "I'm really glad I have the best__ in the world! I hope I can get a__ for Christmas this year "_ ♥
Again, play around with the script above and make it your own. 😉
Do a little extra - Pick up a little bit more weight around
Volunteer to help out around. Try to pitch in with extra so that they will want to reward you for helping with a special present. The more you are able to do, the more likely they will be willing to get you o the things you want.
How to Ask for Money
Asking for monetary gifts typically feels weird... however, master the basics to avoid putting yourself or the other person in an awkward situation.
Tell friends and family to give you cash
One of the best ways to get what you want is to buy it yourself. So, ask your friends and family to give you cash so that you can buy whatever you want. You'll be able to make that money last much longer - you'll have access to the after Christmas sales.
Ask for bank Gift Cards
A lot of gift cards can be used anywhere for anything. They are simply amazing because they work just like cash. plus, many of them can be replaced if lost or stolen. You can get these types of cards from major credit card companies. best of all, you can even use them for your online purchases. - That way you get exactly what you want.
make sure you read the fine prints. some of them have an expiration that allows them to charge you a fee for funds left on the cards... ( I dealt with this once the feets ending up eating away at most of the funds lol) they just deduct the fee from the money left on the card until you reach a balance of $0.00.

Ask for gift cards and/or gift certificates to your favorite store.
