Business as usual is our the window! Hello there beautiful soul!
It’s Esther The Esthetician here,
As uncomfortable as this topic is, it’s so important. I’m sure you are aware of this… Last week the world change.
And while that change is far from being enough, it was definitely a start.
Millions opened their eyes to the pain that Black people have been experiencing for far too long, myself included.
I debated on whether or not to write you on this matter… Ultimately decided it was the right thing to do.
Business, as usual, is out the window now!
I want to share some of the steps I’ve taken along with some suggestions on how to educate yourself and/or lend a helping hand.
When I was going through chemo (not looking my best, but still cute though :-)), and while we were home quarantined – I did not shy away from those topics…
Like the change happening in the world, this is just the beginning of my journey displaying what racism really is and how I can work to help eliminate it from our communities and circles.
I will continue sharing weekly skincare tips on my blog. If you visit our new website homepage, you will likely see them there as well.
I know you may be thinking… Now Esther, you know I don’t have an ounce of racism in my heart… Why are you sending me this email?!?
Business as usual?…
While you might not have it in your heart… you may know someone who has been either on the giving/receiving end of racism…
Here’s what I’m doing:
In addition to speaking up, I’ve donated money to many different organizations, signed up to volunteer with GrassrootsLawProject.Org to help bring forth a much needed/overdue change to our current systems. I’ve made several phone calls and sent countless emails. If you are interested in joining the volunteer team, visit https://www.grassrootslaw.org/volunteer. Even If you can only do 5 hours per week… everything helps.
Here Are Some Some Resources for you…
